A Summer escape is calling.. to Ramsey Island. Pack your bag and retreat with us for the day to one of the most beautiful nature reserves in the UK.
Ramsey is packed full of wildlife with a variety of visiting and breeding seabirds, and home to many ocean habitats. With the amount of daily visitors limited to the island, Ramsey offers an unspoilt, picturesque, quiet escape. Trust me when I say you will return from this island feeling relaxed, restored, and reconnected with nature, and yourself.
RELAX, ROAM & RESET
Together we will board the ferry boat from St Justinian with Thousand Island Expeditions to Ramsey, where we will be welcomed by the wardens of the island and given a brief introductory talk about Ramsey and things to look out for on your visit.
The morning will be spent practicing yoga on the Northern end of the island with a fantastic view of the St Davids peninsula, immersed by beautiful wildlife. Following yoga, it's time for some refreshments. Enjoy a refreshing beverage from the small island shop and some delicious homemade cake on us, to fuel you ahead of a walking filled afternoon.
We will spend the remainder of the day guiding you around the full loop of the island. We highly recommend you bring a pair of binoculars to keep a close eye on visiting and breeding sea birds, as well as various sightings at sea! By the end of the day you will be feeling nourished, relaxed & restored.
FULL ITINERARY
09:00 - Meet at St Justinian carpark.
09:10 - Walk down to the slip.
09:30 - Board the Thousand Island ferry boat across to Ramsey Island.
09:45 - Arrive at Ramsey & enjoy an introductory talk from the island wardens.
10:00 - Walk to Northern end of the island.
10:30 - 1 hour 'slow flow' yoga class.
11:30 - Walk back to 'base' for refreshments.
12:00 - Refreshments/cake + coffee time! Enjoy a refreshing beverage and a slice of homemade cake on us.*
12:30 - Guided walk. We will choose a beautiful spot on our walk to stop, take in the views, and enjoy your packed lunch.
15:00 - Enjoy some free time! Lay in the sun and listen to the birds, enjoy an additional refreshment from the shop, or continue exploring the island.
15:45 - Meet back by the shop ('base').
16:00 - Board the Thousand Island ferry boat across to St Justinian.
*Please let us know of any dietary requirements ahead of your trip.

- Yoga mat (please let us know if you need to borrow one from us beforehand)
- Binoculars (there are binoculars to rent for the day from the Island shop for an additional charge of £5)

- Sun protection (hat, sunglasses, suncream)
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
- Lunch will not be provided, please pack enough food to sustain you for the day.
- We will be providing x 1 hot beverage & x 1 slice of cake on the house!
- Snacks and additional drinks will be available to purchase from the island shop.
- As we know in Wales, the weather is massively unpredictable. When the wind and swell is up, it isn't uncommon for the boats to be cancelled. Rest assured if this is the case, we will provide you with a full refund.
- Drones are prohibited from being flown on the island, but please feel free to take as many pictures/videos with a handheld camera as you please!
- Spaces are limited due to the numbers of visitors being restricted to the island each day.
- Do you hold an RSPB membership? If so, you can get £10 off! Please send lauren@tidelinesurf.com an email with photo evidence of your membership, and we will send a discount code your way.
REFUND/CANCELLATION POLICY
- Any cancellations must be given with plenty of notice.
- At least 48 hours for a full refund.
- At least 24 hours for a partial refund (50%).
- No refund will be given with less than 24 hours notice.
